Jackson Youth Hockey is proud to announce that we have a skating instructor named Kyle Peto coming to Jackson the week of Monday, January 22nd to run clinics with our kids. Kyle will be incorporating innovative and cutting edge skating drills that will primarily be focusing on power skating, agility, transitions, explosiveness and edge work. He will be running clinics starting Monday (1/22) and will work with all teams 8U and older. We encourage all coaches to be present if possible. It will be a great learning experience and I know Kyle will appreciate the extra help setting up drills and managing kids in line.

Kyle is currently an on ice instructor at Breakaway Academy located in Chaska, Minnesota. Breakaway Academy is a High Performance Academic-Athletic private school dedicated to providing ambitious boys and girls the very best in academics along with elite hockey training.

Kyle was born in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada were he played his entire youth hockey career.  Kyle went on to join the Crowsnest Pass Timberwolves of the Alberta Junior Hockey League where he spent two seasons. During his second season Kyle was named the Timberwolves alternate team captain, selected to the A.J.H.L South All-Star team, and earned a scholarship to Minnesota State University – Mankato (WCHA). From 2003-2006 Kyle was an offensive force on the Maverick blue line, leading all defenseman in points through his tenure in MSU.  Following his college career Kyle went on to play professional hockey in the SM-Liiga (top league in Finland), EIHL (England), E.C.H.L, where he won a Championship in 2007, and All-Star honors in 2009-10.
