Q: What equipment do we need?

A: At the Mite, Learn to Skate level, all skaters must have skates, helmets, and gloves at a minimum.  A complete list of gear is available in the section on program information.

Q: Why does the team manager need a copy of my child's birth certificate?

A: Skaters are placed in age groups by birth year.  The Birth Certificate is the required verification of the skater's age.

Q: I did this last year. Can we use that same number?

A: The USA Hockey number is good for one season only.  Every participant in Jackson Youth Hockey MUST regsiter every year.  We cannot permit any skater, youth player, adult coach or volunteer on the ice without it.

Q: Why do we need to register with USA Hockey?

A: USA Hockey is the governing body for our youth hockey organization.  Your membership with USAH provides you with accident insurance.  You may see the benefits of USAH online at  www.usahockey.com or in the Documents or Registration section of our website.
